Lilia Casillas is a mexican photographer living in Mexico City. Her work amounts to a pictorial sight of reality. Absence of people is a central theme in her work. However her own existence plays an important role in it. She has systematically photographed roads, objects and structures—asphalt, flowers, trucks, and windows—most of which belong to the 21st century. Although must of the pictures shot by Casillas seem to show natural environments, all of them were taken at man made scenarios.
