Launch Pop-Up

215 Bowery #B New York, NY

June 11 - June 15, 2014

Opening Reception: June 11, 2014, 7-10 PM

New York, June 9, 2014 – InSitu Works is proud to announce insituworks.com, a new online platform and advisory firm based in New York City dedicated to the discovery and acquisition of fine art. In conjunction with the launch of the website, InSitu Works is organizing their first pop-up exhibition in New York from June 11 to June 15.

Keeping true to its mission of educating and exposing today’s art enthusiasts to different forms of artistic expression, InSitu Works, has partnered with The Pour Group to create an experience in which art featured in its inaugural exhibition is appreciated through the different senses. During the event, Juan Coronado, cocktail innovator and winner of Eater’s 2013 bartender of the year, will be creating cocktails that capture the essence of the exhibition’s key pieces.

InSitu Works was conceived as an alternative to help aspiring collectors find high-quality artwork and grant emerging artists a platform for exposure and development. Sponsored by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Artspire (part of the New York Foundation for the Arts), the team is passionate about enabling collectors to acquire original works of art that meet both their aesthetic and budget requirements.

In addition to promoting the work of established and emerging artists InSitu Works specializes in advisory for individual collectors, designers, developers and institutional buyers. The team provides personalized art advisory and procurement services to help start and build art collections.

“We seek to help artists develop a successful career doing what they love; this is why cultivating a demand for art through educational salons and personalized advisory services is at the core of our concept. For us, ‘cultivating demand’ is not about marketing campaigns; it is about giving people access, skills, and the knowledge they need to have encounters with works of art that are rich enough to keep them coming back for more,” said Ana Cecilia Perez, Co-founder of InSitu Works.

Featured in the exhibition will be works by Mary Stengel Bentley, Chris Dean, Dalia Marcela, Fernanda Brunet, William Buchina, Aldo Chaparro, Adam Payne, Christina Quarles, Samuel Stabler and Alexis Zambrano. The exhibition will be on display from June 11- 15.
